Community Liaison Officer: Your link between School and Community!
At Woodridge State High School, we know that strong connections between home, school, and the wider community help create an environment where students thrive. That's where our Community Liaison Officer (CLO), Megan, comes in!
Megan plays a vital role in developing and implementing strategies that build effective links between families, the school, and the local community. She works closely with parents, carers, and community partners to encourage greater participation in school activities and programs—because when we work together, amazing things happen!
💡 What does the CLO do?
Megan's work includes:
✔️ Promoting community development activities that foster positive relationships between the school and local organizations
✔️ Establishing and monitoring school and community networks to expand opportunities for students and families to engage with community
✔️ Facilitating opportunities for parents to raise concerns and advocating for equity in service provision to ensure every student has the support they need.
✔️ Acting as a contact for parents, carers, and community members to strengthen relationships and support student success.
📢 “My favourite part of this role is seeing the impact of strong connections – whether that is through our school events, new community partnerships or students and families getting the support they need to thrive."
Looking to get involved, volunteer, or collaborate? Megan would love to hear from you! Let's work together to empower our students, build resilience, and create world-changing opportunities.
