Woodridge State High School opened in January 1972. Enrolments at Woodridge State School continued to rise rapidly in the early 1970s, following an influx of British migrants. In January 1974, enrolments totalled 1,689 students, making it the biggest school in Queensland at the time. Woodridge State High School was founded out of a passion to provide the best possible educational opportunities for students in the Woodridge area.
At the heart of Woodridge State High School lies its people — current students, past students, staff, families, and the entire Woodridge community.
Are you a past student of Woodridge State High School?
Our mission is to encourage our past students to participate actively in the WSHS community: to attend events, to network with each other, to volunteer, to create new ways for past students to stay connected to WSHS, and to contribute to the wider community.
Our vision is to involve the greatest possible number of past students with the school on an annual basis by creating a range of events that past students will seek to remain engaged with each other and the school.
Our aim is to create a dynamic past student program that will stimulate interest, build loyalty, increase involvement and generate support for the school.
