At Woodridge State High School - we believe that Information Communication and Technology supports teaching and learning as a tool in collaboration, communication, creativity, innovation and critical thinking allowing our team to provide authentic learning experiences and opportunities to all students.
Information Technology devices are a powerful means of differentiating and personalising a student’s education, and student-owned devices allows student choice regarding which applications best suits their learning and communication style. We are giving families control over the choice of the BYOD laptop that students use at school.
Students and parents are to access the BYOD Handbook (PDF, 638KB) for further information (a shortened version is available for printing at
BYOD Purchasing Guide (PDF, 273KB). The process for students connecting their device to our network is as follows:
- Student to collect the Responsible Use Policy (RUP) from the IT Helpdesk at the library during all long lunches or access in the handbook.
- Return the RUP signed by parents to the IT Helpdesk during a long lunch.
- IT Technician will connect student.
