Long-term AARA (Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments)

minimize barriers and ensure that students can demonstrate their knowledge and skills on the same basis as their peers.

Students with long term conditions may qualify for AARA, which can include
extra time, rest breaks, or alternative assessment formats.
Application Process:
Schools must apply for AARA through the Queensland Curriculum and
Assessment Authority (QCAA) and provide supporting documentation, such as
a medical report.
Types of Adjustments: Common adjustments include extended time for
exams, alternative assessment methods, and use of assistive technology.
