From 2023, NAPLAN moved from May to March. This year’s test will take place from 12th to 24th March 2025. 

The change of date means that school systems will have access to results earlier, so they can be used to inform teaching and learning plans for the remainder of the year. NAPLAN assesses literacy and numeracy skills that students are already learning at school.
