​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ At Woodridge State High School - we believe that Information Communication and Technology supports teaching and learning as a tool in collaboration, communication, creativity, innovation and critical thinking allowing our team to provide authentic learning experiences and opportunities to all students.

Information Technology devices are a powerful means of differentiating and personalising a student’s education, and student-owned devices allows student choice regarding which applications best suits their learning and communication style. We are giving families control over the choice of the BYOD laptop that students use at school. 

BYOD purchasing

If you need support with purchasing a laptops we have included a list of options below to support purchasing a laptop for your students.

Option 4 - Speak to your SPEC HOD if neither of these options are suitable for your student and family. 

Woodridge SHS has partnered with JB HiFi and HP (Hewlett-Packard) to provide families with access to a wide range of education-specific laptops, tablets, accessories and insurance, at an affordable price.

Connecting to school network​

The process for students connecting their device to our network is as follows:  

  1. Student to collect the Responsible Use Policy (RUP)​ from the IT Helpdesk at the library during all long lunches or access in the handbook.
  2. Return the RUP signed by parents to the IT Helpdesk during a long lunch.
  3. IT Technician will connect student.
