On behalf of the Woodridge State High School community I would like to welcome you. I invite you to explore this website and to contact our school to learn more about our vision and strategies for educating people. Since opening in 1972, the people in this school community have built a long and proud history of educational achievements.
By connecting with us through our website or in person, you are joining a school that is exceptional in its learning journey and ability to produce quality outcomes for its students.
Since opening in 1972, the school has had an interesting and diverse history. To present day, it is now a thriving educational setting with an incredibly diverse student population, dedicated and professional staff and reputation for quality teaching and learning.
In more recent times (since 2010), we have been part of a State and Federal Government initiative known as National Partnerships Schools Program. This Program has allowed the school to design and implement new roles for additional staff resulting in some remarkable outcomes in areas such as improved attendance, behaviour, learning outcomes and post school destination success. This rapid rise and improvement has received recognition at both a State and Federal level of education.
Woodridge SHS is characterised by its incredible student cultural diversity. This diversity is a strength of the school with everyone working together to provide an educational experience that meets the needs of every student.
The school continues to provide an environment in which students achieve in sport, cultural pursuits, academic outcomes and vocational education. Students are regularly recognised through the awarding of bursaries and scholarships for their efforts to support their education beyond the school.
It is both a privilege and honour to lead this school community as every day students, staff and community members work together to build their learning and aspirations.
Regards,

John Norfolk
