Science at Woodridge State High School inspires curiosity and connects learning to real-world applications. Students explore biology, earth and space, physics, chemistry and psychology through hands-on investigations. Students have access to our STEAM garden and recycling centre to learn about sustainability and innovative solutions for the future. First Nations perspectives are embedded throughout our curriculum which include exploring forces through the boomerang and cultural knowledge in caring for Country. From ecosystems to chemical reactions to the universe, students are encouraged to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to understand and shape the world around them.

Tutorials

Science students are encouraged to seek extra assistance if needed from their classroom teacher. This may occur at a negotiated time or during class time.

Students can also attend Homework Club on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons in the school Library. Some Science teachers may attend these sessions, depending on student requests for assistance.
