We are excited to welcome the entire Logan community to the 2019 Woodridge Heritage Festival.
The festival will bring together an array of events based at Woodridge State High School on the afternoon of Friday 20 September. Our theme is Connecting People, Places and the Past. The festival will celebrate the history and heritage of Woodridge, and Woodridge SHS, while embracing our current heritage through multicultural performances and international food vendors.
The festival will bring together communities from all walks of life to recognise and celebrate heritage and culture through food, ceremony, song and dance, as well as a ‘History Walk’ display containing historical images and artefacts of Woodridge as a suburb, and of Woodridge State High School over time.
The performances will tell the stories of our diverse and distinctive peoples, that make up our communities, while our international food vendors will remind us all of the value in our shared diversity as a community.
We welcome ALL of our students and families, as well as all of the wider Logan community – students and families of our past, and those who have deep heritage roots in our Woodridge or Logan area to join us in this celebration of who we are and our history.
Date – Friday, 20th September
Times – 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Location – 323 Wembley Road Woodridge
